About Santa Cruz de Tenerife

Santa Cruz de Tenerife is located in the north-east of the island of Tenerife and is the capital of one of the two provinces of the Canary Islands.

The city is only 15 kilometres away from the North Airport, one of the island’s two airports, and a 45 minute drive away from the Reina Sofía Airport in the south. The port of Tenerife is also in Santa Cruz, only a few minutes away from the Bruja Apartments. Santa Cruz is the administrative centre of the island and one of the main business centres of the Canaries. At the same time, it is the capital of the whole of the Canary Islands (jointly with Las Palmas de Gran Canaria).

Santa Cruz and its metropolitan area can boast a lively cultural environment. Its climate is truly unique and allows visitors to enjoy all types of restaurants, pubs or night clubs in pleasant surroundings.

Culture and architecture go hand in hand in the capital city as one can see in the Auditorio de Tenerife, the Plaza de España, the various museums such as the TEA and the Teatro Guimerá. Furthermore, thanks to its mild climate, Santa Cruz de Tenerife offers numerous lush parks such as the Parque La Granja, which lies in close vicinity to the apartments.

The city’s most well-known beach, Las Teresitas, is only 15 minutes away by car from Bruja Apartments. And, of course, Santa Cruz is known for being the capital city with one of the most famous carnivals world wide. This carnival lasts all through the month of February and into the first weeks of March.
